At Voyage Church, we want this to be a meaningful and encouraging moment for every believer as they testify to the saving grace of God.
We offer baptism classes to help people understand what baptism means and why it matters. These classes give time for teaching, questions, and preparation, so that each person can move forward with clarity, conviction, and joy.
What Baptism Means
Baptism does not save us, but it does bear witness to the saving work Christ has already done in the heart of the believer. It is a beautiful picture of the gospel: the old life is gone, and new life has come through Jesus Christ. It is a testimony before the church and the world that a person has trusted in the Lord and now desires to walk with Him.
As a gospel-centered church, Voyage desires to see men, women, and young people take this step in faithful obedience, bringing glory to God and giving testimony to His grace.
How We Do Baptism
When weather permits, we hold baptisms outdoors in a river. This gives us a special opportunity to gather together, celebrate what the Lord is doing, and witness this important step of obedience in a memorable setting.
Before baptism, we offer classes for those who want to learn more. These classes are meant to help people understand the biblical meaning of baptism, ask questions, and prepare to take this step with confidence and a clear understanding of the gospel.
